9:53 pm	I swear I only do this for you two. Decided to try typing something up, here's a shot. Work is a hassle in my life, somewhat.  In somewhat, I mean that I'm technically fucking ecstatic to even HAVE a job, considering that 20%(OMGWTFBBQ?!) of Californians are out of work now.  Shit now every time I see a group of 5 people I have to guess which one is the unemployed one. Anyway, the main problem is that I'm working <15 hours a week, which is fucked up.  And even more annoying than that,  I go like 10 hour days where I only get paid for 6 or 7 hours, so there's just so much time where I'm working my ass off and not getting paid.  It's getting busier so the hour thing will be less and less of a problem as summer comes upon us, and the extra hour thing will become more and more of a problem.  I think I'm gonna have to ask for a 10 -20% raise if I'm gonna be not getting paid for so much time. (and that'd only amount to like an extra buck an hour)  Since I'm the only person who can do my job right now, I don't think it's unfair, not to mention the fact that they've been adding extra responsibilities lately. I played Disgaea for a whopping 169 hours and I'm coming within range of true completion of the game(which in Disgaea is usually a much further off event.)  This was facilitated by multiple interesting powerleveing techniques I discovered through combination intuition and internet. I'm betting I only have another 50 or so hours before I either beat it or get phenomanally bored.  It could be a lot less if something gets seriously in my way and the 2nd one rears its ugly head. So I'm looking for more permanent entertainment as we speak. The new Fallout DLC looks fucking amazing. The extra level cap alone is nice, but what I'm really looking forward to is the time skip.  Getting to see how my actions affected the Capital Wasteland was something I was honestly thinking quite a lot about.  Add to the fact that I get Dogmeat back FOREVER and you have a very happy Spencer.  Its STILL not coming out for PS3, which is a dick move by Microsoft, akin to..well...slapping someone in the face with your dick.  However, as soon as I reformat my computer out of shitty Vista and into shitty XP I shall be able to play my somewhat less purchased copy of the game, which will be able to play the DLC in question, which will then make me a happy Spencer.  Amen. My cat is epicly fluffy. Cori play the @!#$^ing game. Reading Majin(Demon) Tantei(Detective) Nougami Neuro(Neuro Nougami).  Pretty good manga, the first few chapters use the word bitch more times than you'd expect a shounen Jump manga to have, but the blatant physical and mental abuse of one of the characters really makes the series early on.  And eventually it becomes and actually interesting series with physical abuse AND monstrous eating habits.  And I like a good detective manga, but they get so repetitive.  This one really stays out of that deadly cycle.   I made both Sabrina AND Cori feel better in a single night.  Honestly, it was the best night I've had in a long time. 5:08 pm	Shit, Livejournal is actually moderately useful... Not. I guess I'll chronicle my recent events though. First off, entertainment: I've been watching the Reborn! anime, since it seems like watching anime is the most interesting thing I can do on my PS3. Got through the first 100 episodes, not surprising since there was little if anything else to do whilst I was sick with the flu. Now I started reading a new manga, Liar Game. At first glance it appears to be another Death Note wannabe psychological mind-gamey manga..and it is. But its good, so no complaints. Work is good, had a monstrous 12 hour day yesterday, ending in an hour and a half long 12 player Halo 3 session . And this one kid did the vocals on BYOB on Guitar Hero World Tour, it was so epic that I had to play too, he was just belting them out. It was a fun day but I was so tired. Thats all for now. 11:31 pm	My Posts Don't Have Song Lyrics for Titles, Sorry Lately I've been kinda....eh.. I'm not usually eh. Mostly its just me going to Washington for 2 years and accomplishing basically nothing more than a year and 3 months of work experience. I went up there for School, mostly to get into DigiPen, but even normal classes I went to were pretty much failures.  I guess I could put that off as me simply getting used to the college environment, but then the Pre-Calc class I took a couple months ago ended in terrible failure as well.  I have an excuse for that as usual, but so?  When don't I?  Still doesn't help the fact that I wasted $600 and pushed back my chance at getting into my school of choice another year.   But then I'm here in SoCal now, with no foreseeable way out.  It's really just a little dissapointement,   But then lately I've been thinking about what would happen even if I did go back to school.  I've always been the person who knew what he wanted to do, but now I feel like...I don't know what I really want to do. I really do want to make videogames, but I feel like my chances of becoming anything other than a mediocre developer are slim to none, and I feel ike the sheer amount of work I'd have to do to get to even that point is...daunting.   I just don't know what I really want out of life any more.  My goals are completely shattered at the moment and it's completely killed my motivation to do anything other than spend my time on my computer.   Current Mood: blank Current Music: Anthem of a Misguided Youth by Cthonic (4 Comments |Comment on this)

7:29 pm	Because Cori is probably bored with my not posting Lately I feel like life just likes throwing my curve balls.  Its not like anything crazy bad is happening, but I'm geting a headache cuz I just keep getting thrown new obstacles.  Like tonight, I was getting ready for work tomorrow, and I have to be down on PCH by 7 AM(it's probably about....15 blocks away, not a huge distance, but I don't want to walk that at 5~ AM).  So I go check on the bike I was planning to use, because I haven't used a bike for 8 years, so I was gonna get a little practice.  Bike's gone.  So I call up my mom to see where it might've gone, and of course the obvious suspect, as I should've known, is my cousin, Matt.  I'm not gonna bore you with history, summary; Matt is a flake and he takes/loses crap without asking.   Luckily, the bike seems to be...mostly intact.  It has a flat tire.  Whee.  Can't go fix it, because I have to go to bed real soon, and I have to get up too early to go to the bike shop.  So I decide to take a Taxi, it won't cost more than $10 to go that far.  I go around scrounging for cash monies, and I come up with...$6.  Whee.  So, I have to go down to the nearby liquor store with my debit card and use their ATM(more money wasted...T_T).  So now I have the money, and I have to go to bed to get up for the Taxi to go to work.  And it's just been an annoying series of events.  And this is something like the third or fourth day of these.  It's getting tiresome.   Current Mood: Zoom!
